Literally ‘Hezbollah’ means ‘Army of Allah’. But, in reality, to what extent Hezbollah was able to actualize the meaning of it’s name?
When I watch a football match, where none of the two teams are my favorite, yet unconsciously my heart inclines ‘a little bit’ to one of the teams. At the early stage of the Prophet Muhammad –peace be upon him- when the weak Muslims were hearing the news of the war between Romans and Persians, Muslims automatically inclined towards Romans. Romans were adherent to some divine religion (although with great diversion from truth after the Nicene Council in 325 AD, where Trinity was imposed to be the official doctrine of Christians), but the opposite party (the Persians) were fire worshippers and much worse than Romans in terms of spiritual adherence to true religion.
Following verses were revealed in connection with this incidence:
ALIF, LAM, MEEM, The Romans have been defeated. In the nearer land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious. Within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allâh, (before the defeat of Romans by the Persians, and after the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that Day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allâh to the Romans against the Persians)- With the help of Allâh. He helps whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. [Rum (30): 1-5]
Today, two bad guys are at war: Hezbollah and Israel, but between the two bad guys, we need to identify the worse. From this perspective, we can support Hezbollah. But, other than that, Hezbollah is not an army, rather and enemy of Allah. In this article, I will try to justify this strong statement, which seems strange, confusing and offensive to many Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
No Muslim doubts that Israel is an anti-Islamic country. So, the (wrong) logic goes this way: any party or movement fighting against Israel should be Islamic. This logic is erroneous. Hitler was never a Muslim or sympathetic with Islam, although he wasthe hero of holocaust. Allah sends some tyrant to destroy another tyrant. So, it is not a rule of thumb that anyone fighting anti-Islamic body is Islamic. In other words, anti-Islamic entity may fight with another anti-Islamic body. But among the two, a Muslim can and should distinguish between the bad and worse.
Some, shallow thinking Muslims see the Islamic appearance of Hezbollah leader, and their Islamic slogans and Islamic name (Hezbollah) and they conclude that they are fighting for Allah. To this category of Muslims, I have nothing to say except direct them to the lessons of History.
And when you look at them, their bodies please you; and when they speak, you listen to their words. They are as blocks of wood propped up. They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies, so beware of them. May Allâh curse them! How are they denying (or deviating from) the Right Path. [Munafequoun (63): 4]
The lesson this verse tells us is that: outer appearance might be very Islamic, but inner facts (which is the most important) might be so anti-Islamic, to the extent that Allah says: they are the enemies. As if, this verse pops up so strongly today, and says to the Muslims, “Hezbollah are the enemies, more than Israel are”.
But, why am I so angry with Hezbollah?
I have no personal conflict with Hezbollah. Hezbollah is a Shiite party. Any conscious Muslim will have no problem to understand my anger with Hezbollah. But the problem still remains, because either not many Muslims are conscious, or they are conscious about so many issues, expect with the issues of the real face of Shiite doctrine.
Without crossing the limits of this article’s topic, and without going into the field of Human Psychology, a well-known fact is that a person’s real identity is a reflection of his/her beliefs and creeds. Tell me your creed, and I tell you who you are. Shiites –and Hezbollah- abhor the majority of the companions of the Prophet –peace be upon him-, especially the best among them: Abu Bakr and Omar. It is beyond my imagination, how a person loving the Prophet would hate Abu Bakr and Omar? This very crime would be enough to consider ‘Hezbollah’ as party of Satan.
Companions of the Prophet –peace be upon him- were granted the pleasure of Allah, according to Quran. So, cursing them is belying Quran.
And the foremost to embrace Islâm of the Muhâjirûn (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansâr (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhâjirûn) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success. [Tawbah(9):100]
The problem comes when a lover of Hezbollah jumps-in in anger and says: “Hezbollah never curses the companions of the Prophet, rather it is a mere hatred of a Wahhabi sunni against someone who is killing the Israelis…” To this person, I would only refer him to the lessons of history, and ask Allah to extend the lifespan of such people, till they see the real face of Hezbollah. Hasan Nasrullah is a descendant of Naseerudding at-Tousi, who fetched Holaku Khan and his army to bring the symbol of Islamic Khilafa to the ground.
Early Crusades found no friend among the Muslims like the Shiites, and the neo-Crusaders as well. The problem to convince fellow Muslims of the dark agenda and ideology of Shiites even magnifies with the so called ‘Tuquah’ tradition in shiism. This ‘tuqyah’ makes it lawful to lie in order to cover the ‘real’ dark face. So, it is very natural that a Shiiee will give statement that he loves Abu Bakr, Omar, Ayesha and that he has no book other than Quran, and that Sunnis are their brother in Islam and bla bla bla. But these all are rubbish. This is the hypocrite mentality of the humiliated community of hypocrites of medina at the time of our Prophet –peace be upon him. Read the following verse:
And when they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe," but when they are alone with their Shayâtin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." Allâh mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doings to wander blindly. [al-baqarah (2): 14, 15]
The weak status of Muslim Ummah that we are experiencing these days, had similarity in the history. It is a historical thumb-rule that weakness of Muslims are coupled with flourish of hypocrites and fifth rows: like the Shiites and Bateny movements. These fifth rows has a common trend of communicating with the enemy of Muslims in secret. They openly give all the bad statements against the infidels, but in secret they are the closest friend to them. You might wonder why Israel bombed everything expect the media tool of Hezbollah (al-Manar TV Building). Israel needs to keep al-Manar speaking against it. It is the greatest strategic victory of Israel and US to de-centralize the Muslim Ummah from it’s real sunni scholars and movements, and centralize them towards new heroes and celebrities –who curse the companion of the Prophet.
History also proves that any re-gain of Muslim power, has the pre-requisite of breaking the neck of the hypocrites like Shiites. It is a well-known historical fact, that Salahuddin al-Ayyobi started to clean the Muslim house first from these filthy Shiite regime (the Fatimids in Egypt and else where), only when he cleansed the Ummah the victory of Allah came, and al-Quds was re-gained. Similary, although less popular, Muhammad ibn Subuktin has lots of contribution in establishing Islam in India, only after he took a strategic move to cleanse the Muslim authority from the hands of Shiites.
Today, also I firmly believe that Islam can not regain it’s pride with false representations of Ahmadi Nijad or Hasan Nasrullah. Islam can regain power only if leaders -who love the Prophet and all his companions and steadfast with the method and sunnah of the Prophet- start jihad with an army who has similar creed and belief. Quran teaches us that an unfertile land yields rubbish, and a fertile land only yields the delicious fruits. Similarly, furtile heart which is full of love of Allah, His Prophet and the pious believers (like the Companions of the Prophet), yields victory for the Ummah, but the heart which is full of hypocracy, hatred on Prophet’s wives and beloved companions, can yield nothing but tragedy and calamity for the Muslim Ummah.
The vegetation of a good land comes forth (easily) by the Permission of its Lord; and that which is bad, brings forth nothing but a little with difficulty. Thus do We explain variously the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for a people who give thanks. [al-Araaf (7): 58]
A fellow Muslim will accuse me to be someone who seeks ethnic discrimination and seeks to break the Muslim unity. To this fellow Muslim, I need to convince him that unity has borders and parameters. A Muslim have no problem to unite with another Muslim having different fiqh view of adhere to different fiqh schools. Hanafi can unite (and should) unite white Malki, with Shafeyee with Hanbali and so on. Because, these schools does not vary in greater ideological issues like the role of the Companions or the role of the 12 Imams or other matters of creed, as is the case with Shiite creed.
Islam as brought by our Prophet is very clear, and it is the Islam which was propagated through noble Companions and the rest of our predecessors. The Islam which Shiites want to propagate is not compatible with the Islam of the Sahabah (companions of the Prophet).
And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad (peace be upon him)) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination! [an-Nisa (4): 115]
And finally, here is a hadith that motivates the knowledgeable to speak the truth, and warns the silent to reveal the dark agenda of Hezbollah..
Narrated by Iman al-Aajurri by Muadh -radiallahu anhu- the Prophet -peace be upon him said: "When Bida (innovation) starts to prevail in my Ummah, and my companions are being desecrated, then let the knowledgeable reveal his knowledge, if not then on him is the curse of Allah, the angels and totality of mankind"
