Page 16 of 16 CONCLUSION This article was an attempt to point to the role of religion in better upbringing of kids. Religious growing up will impact positively for the betterment of this world and the hereafter. When a child grows up with the religious teachings, then he will not lie is words, will be active and sincere in his job, will be polite and in good manner with others, will be helpful to poor and the orphans, will be kind to wife and kids, will be loyal to the workplace rules and regulations, etc. There are all the ingredients of a successful and peaceful life. Moreover, and the most important, is that he will be dutiful to his Lord, Allah the Al-Mighty, he will be praying the obligatory prayers, he will be giving Jakat, will be fasting and will be performing the rituals of Islam. So, in short, attachment to a true religion (which is Islam, and only Islam) will guarantee a better life in this world and the hereafter. An ignorant farmer might think sending his son to school is a foolish act, because he sees in school an additional expenditure. Instead, if his son, helps him in the field, he gets direct benefit in his business. So, to this farmer, the immediate yield is most important. A better person is the one who thinks sending his kids to school is an investment, which will result in better return in the long run. This persons vision extends to 30 years, 40 years, or more or less. But, both of the previous groups paid attention to the eternal life. Have any of them, thought about the hereafter? We tend to prepare out kids for a successful life of 60 or 70 years, but we seldom think beyond. It is our responsibility as parents to prepare our kids from the very early childhood for a glorious position in the paradise, which could only be achieved by firm attachment to a true religion. After the global message of Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him-, this true religion is only ISLAM.
