MILESTONE 14: SUPPLICATION TO ALLAH FOR THE KIDS

A Muslim always asks Allah for help. He asks Allah's for all matter, big or small. Parents need to supplicate to Allah all the time, so their offspring might be righteous. Today, in front of the lusts, trials and tribulations, and the moral degradation of the modern complicated life, it is extremely difficult to protect the kids form the moral pollution in the society. Without the help of Allah, one cannot go forward a single step. We ask Allah to guide our kids and make them religious. Only religion -when a person knows that a Supreme Power is watching and will be accounted in the Day of Judgment- can protect our kids from the corrupted society of today. When comparing the role of health awareness with the role of religious awareness in combating HIV/AIDS, then religion scores much higher. Look at the statistics and compare the number of HIV positive patients in the west and the Muslim countries.

Quran sites many examples of Parents supplicating to Allah for the betterment of their kids. Here are few examples.

And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." [Surah al-Furqan (25): 74]

We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam." [Surah al-Ahqaf (46):15]

Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. [Surah Ibraheem (14):35]
