All prophets and messengers of Allah had universal commandments. The orginal Torah and Injil (Gospel) should have them. Quran came to strengthen these commandments. Here are the reference from Quran.

In verses 151 to 153 of Surah (6) al-Anam, are 10 commandments, as follows.

  1. Do not associate anything with Allah
  2. Good treatment of parents
  3. Do not kill your children out of poverty
  4. Do not approach immoralities – either apparent or concealed.
  5. Do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden to be killed except by legal right.
  6. Do not approach the orphan’s property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity.
  7. Give full measure and weight in justice.
  8. When you speak, be just, even if it concerns a near relative.
  9. Fulfill the covenant of Allah.
  10. Follow the straight path of Allah, and do not follow other ways which will separate you from the way of Allah.

Further in Surah (7) al-Aaraf verses 29 to 32 are some more:

  1. Establish justice
  2. worship Allah alone
  3. invoke Allah with sincerity
  4. Take adornment at the place of prayer
  5. Eat and drink, but be not excessive.

Further in Surah (17) al-Israa, verses 23-38 are some more (omitting the repetitions):

  1. Give the relative, the poor and the traveler their right.
  2. Do not spend wastefully.
  3. Speak to the needy a gentle word, if you do not have means to give to them.
  4. Do not make your hand as chained to your neck (i.e., refusing to spend), or extend it completely (i.e., being extravagant).
  5. Do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse.
  6. Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge.
  7. Do not walk upon the earth exultantly.

Thus the religion of Prophets and Messengers is the same, though Torah, Gospel and Quran differ in the transactional law, but they all agree on these universal commands.

Do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. [Quran aal-Imran (3):139]
