What is the shortest period of child bearing? Answer: according to Quran it is 6 months. How?
Allah saysحَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَالُهُ ثَلَاثُونَ شَهْرًاHis mother bears him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty months.. [al-Ahqaf (46): 15]So in this verse: Child bearing + Breast Feeding = 30 months.وَالْوَالِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلاَدَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ The mothers shall give suck to their children for two whole years [al-Baqrah (2): 233]So in this verse: Maximum breast feeding is 24 months..Therefore: Minimum Child Bearing is = 30 – 24 = 6 months.
