A Danish paper (Jyllands-Posten newspaper) published a series of 12 cartoons belittling Prophet Muhammad-peace be upon him. This has caused much tension in Muslim world. That paper wanted to test if Denmark has 'freedom of expression'.
Denmark seems to have failed the test. This test revealed that, despite the weakness of Muslims today, yet a small local paper in a remote country (Denmark) can not express freely their hatred towards Islam. This very incidence shows, how Muslim nation became so mature over years. Long, Long centuries back, belittling Islam was very common in those remote lands. At one point in history, the Pope was able to gather thousands of Christians to march towards Jerusalem. That was the first Crusaders, who were brainwashed by Church, and were given all horrible stories about the barbaric Arabs. Today, no country (or city) in Europe is vacant of Muslims. No country can freely express hatred against Muslims. Is not it -by itself- a success for Muslims?
'Freedom of Expression' is a term that needs analysis. Are human being free? I think the answer is no. We are not free 'per say'. We are slaves of Allah. We can not stand and declare freedom from worshipping Allah. If some group does -like the atheists or agonists or similar- then, they will not be burnt by a thunder immediately, but they will eventually be burn in the hereafter.
Is your 2-years child free? No, he is not. You will not allow him to cross a busy road, because he is not free, otherwise, he will kill himself. Similarly, mankind is like a 2-years child. It does not know it's purpose in this life, and hence, needs the guidance of the 'parents'. The loving parents of the mankind is 'Prophets' of God. Noah, Moses, Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad -peace be upon them all- are the famous Prophets of God. These noble people came to guide the children and show them their path to salvation. If the children wanted to 'cross-the-road', they forcefully -like any loving parents- prevented their committing suicide. Of course children like to 'cross roads', because that is fun. Similarly, majority of 'childish' mankind like to enjoy things that are harm. They like to associate illegitimate God with the true God (Allah). They like to have illegal sex. They like to drink wine. When the Prophets prevent them from these prohibited matters, many get angry, as our kids get angry on us when we tend to deprive them from eating too much chocolate, or watching too much TV, or asking to do the homework, etc.
Moreover, if 'freedom of expression' is a human right, then it is should be the right of 'all' human and not the 'white' western human only. The fact is that the west want to show it's hatred towards the Prophet and Islam under the umbrella of 'freedom of expression', but does not want Muslims to defend under neither 'freedom of expression' nor more legitimate right of 'freedom of defense'. They allow Israel to exercise 'freedom of Oppression' and does not want Hamas to exercise 'freedom of complaining'.
Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him- has special credentials. He was sent to the whole mankind. He is the Prophet of Arabs, as well as the Prophet for Chinese as well for Anglo-Saxons, for Caribbean Island, for Africa, for Latin America, for the Hawaii and for Siberia. The Prophets before were bound to a tribe. Moses and Jesus were sent to the Children of Israel only. So, actually those Danish cartoonists were mocking their own Prophet!
Since Prophet Muhammad started his mission to guide the mankind, many were among his enemies. Among the eternal enemies were the 'Children of Israel' in the form of Christians and Jews. It was very much expected and natural, that these were the first adherents of Islam, as their scripture speaks very clearly about Prophet Muhammad. But, out of arrogance (mostly Jews) or Ignorance (mostly Christians) they rejected prophet Muhammad. However, the interesting part is, that over years, the land of Islam and Muslims got expanded and lands of Christians and Jews started to shrink. This is by itself a proof that Islam and Prophet Muhammad are on the right path.
Let us assume -for the sake of argument- that Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him- was a liar. He marched forward only to gain power and expand his dynasty. He was liar in claiming that some revelation comes to him from God. He brainwashed his companions and gave false commitment to enter paradise and gain the companion of virgins. If that was the case, then how the almighty God, let this liar get over time but popular. And his follower nothing but stronger. And their Land spacious. For the past 15 centuries, Islam left no land without penetrating! Is their a second example in the history of mankind, that a liar gains popularity over time, and there seems no symptom of failure in the future!!
To the contrary, history shows so many examples of kings who wanted to build dynasty and exercise power. They were successful for years, but not for centuries like Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him. Napoleon, Hitler, Saddam, Alexander of Macedonia, etc. are only few examples.
The behavior of these 12 cartoonists does not pose any threat to Islam, except like the blow of a 2-years kid poses threat to a giant fire blaze in Australian dense forest. The very name of this Prophet hovers in the sky of Europe -at least- five times daily, when the Muslim community there pray together in Islamic centers. When these Islam haters could not do anything to harm Islam, and could not conceal the hate volcano within their breasts, they found a relieve by drawing pictures! By doing this, they promoted Islam, by the very act that they wanted to hart Islam.
Let me conclude with few words to my fellow Muslims.
Jews were the satans who raised -according to Christians- Jesus into the Cross, and caused the Son of God to be killed (which they did not as Allah raised him up). No one hated Jesus as Jews did. However, when Mel Gibson produced 'the Passion of Christ' Jews created a worldwide campaign against Mel for the charge of anti-Semitism. Few Million jews were enough to protest against a charge (hatred towards Jesus) which is historically authentic. Then can't we Muslims -who are close to 2 billions- protest as heavily against those who belittle our Prophet! Our Prophet will get no benefit if we do protest, or harm if we do not, but it is we who will be harmed if we do not re-act.
When a Muslim women in the remotest lands of Russia was humiliated by a non-Muslim publicly at the time of Abbasid Caliph Al-Mu'tasim, she cried 'O Mutasim', when the call reached Baghdad, an army was formed to punish those who humiliated a Muslim woman in public. Can't then 57 OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) nations do anything other than watching the humiliation of Prophet Muhammad, who is the Prophet to all Mankind!
At the time when non-Muslim cartoonists were humiliating our (and their) Prophet, millions of Muslim youth -boys and girls- were watching filthy 'reality TV show: Star Academy' in the Arab world. In this crucial time, Two Saudi football teams were quarreling over a Moroccan player: who will pay more millions to get him in his team? If these are the interest of the Muslim Youths, then why should Dutch and Danish 'dogs' be afraid!
