Islam knows only two kinds of societies, the Islamic and the jahili. The Islamic society is that which follows Islam in belief and ways of worship, in law and organization, in morals and manners. Have you ever heard of a house in a deserted place built thousands of years ago, and has no greenery of any of the physical charms, yet for thousands of years people all around the word go there is thousands and who left that house start to long for it again. It is Makkah or as the westerns say Mecca. The word ‘mecca’ coined in English dictionary to mean a place of attraction. The scholars from past continued to praise the people of hadith. Imam Ash-Shafee said: “if I see a person among the people of hadith, as if I saw a companion of the Prophet –peace be upon him”. Shafee said this because this person resembles the companion of the Prophet in the job of conveying the hadith.
